About the Artist

Fabian Rose is a British glass artist whose work explores dissonance and harmony in form and colour. Based in his studio in Southbourne, Dorset, Fabian specialises in the demanding techniques of cast glass, creating sculpture that often combine geometric shapes with organic line, often examining the clash between the classical glowing tones of cast glass and the cacophany of colour that glass affords.

Fabian originally studied art and photography until his focus shifted toward the kinetic and refractive possibilities of glass; he spent several years crafting complex glass kaleidoscopes, a practice that eventually led him to deepen his technical knowledge of the medium at the International Glass Centre in Stourbridge.
